Experience and qualifications:
I started my therapy practice in 2001 having trained as a Person-Centred Counsellor/Supervisor. I then went on to complete a Master of Arts in Client-Centered Psychotherapy before training as a CBT therapist/Supervisor and EMDR practitioner.
I have worked for the last ten years in the NHS, working within Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) and Psychology departments. Prior to this I worked as a counsellor/psychotherapist/supervisor within private practice, holding several contracts with GP surgeries and addiction services.
Before becoming a psychotherapist I was a teacher working in Further Education and abroad.
I’m an accredited member of the UKCP, an accredited member of the BABCP, and a member of the EMDR Association.
